July Anomalies A – Z: Seraphim

With wings of feathered fire
the seraphim surround the throne
to sing the sacred sibilants
of the trisagion:
“Holy God, Holy Strong, Holy Immortal,
the universe unveiled is full of his glory.”

Flying serpents of celestial flame,
ophidians of the First Light,
sing again, that refrain:
“Holy God, Holy Strong, Holy Immortal,
the universe unveiled is full of his glory.”

From the source of light and heat
from the plane of Atziluth,
share the spirit and the power with us below.
“Holy God, Holy Strong, Holy Immortal,
the universe unveiled is full of his glory.”

This is part of July Anomalies A-Z, a creative writing exercise and not intended to be an altogether accurate picture of the creature described above.
