The family and I spent part of the day touring historic Ft. Snelling in Minnesota - an interesting place, especially for its connection to the
Dred Scott case. The historical society provides guides in period costumes and does periodic displays throughout the day.
I would have taken some of my son and daughter as well, but they were teenagers of the eye-rolling type today. Here's a picture of my wife, instead.
And here is the sutler who sold us some "authentic" cream soda.
