We have faith, of course we do. This is a nation established in faith. We believe and will not doubt. But sometimes faith is not enough.
We have hope, to be sure. We take it for granted that the future will be better, brighter, bolder. But sometimes hope is not enough.
We have love. We love love. But can love protect your loved ones from a rapist home-invader at four in the morning?
That’s why we have guns. Faith, hope, and love remain, but lead and steel endure.
