April Anomalies A-Z: Unicorn

Karlheinz Stockhausen has done it,
what none other before him could do;
the greatest (and most controversial)
German composer of the 20th century
has harnessed the power of aleatoric music
to capture the long fabled Unicorn.

The intemperate and fearsome beast,
the Unicorn of myth and legend,
valued for its horn- an effective antidote against many poisons -
once could only be captured by virgin maids,
can now be tracked and captured with stochastic processes.

“Indeterminacy is the new virginity!”
has become the rally cry of a reinvigorated industry
of unicorn hunters and alicorn providers.

John Cage is reportedly working
on a similar process to ensnare Wyverns.

This is part of April Anomalies A-Z, a creative writing exercise and not intended to be an altogether accurate picture of either the unicorn or of Karlheinz Stockhausen or John Cage.
