I photographed this flower in my neighbor's yard. It might be some sort of Knapweed - but what do I know? I'm not a trained botanist. Anybody out there know what it is?
I'm also glad to see the bee in the photo. I like bees. The yellow flowers behind it are Whorled Yellow Loosestrife .
EDIT - I have been told, by my friend AJF, that it is (most likely) Monarda didyma - otherwise known as Crimson Beebalm. Hooray!
