A Blessing for the Coming of the Holy Spirit

May the gracious Spirit of God,
                holy and wise,
come to you,
as your powerful friend and ally,
as your defense and counsel,
as your helper,
                paraclete.

May she come alongside you when you call,
when you feel alone,
when your troubled heart needs comforted.

May she cause you to rejoice,
reminding you of all the Lord’s blessings;
may she shine upon you.
