A Sky Full of Balloons
My wife and I enjoyed a mid-western summer kind of evening. We drove over to Indianola, Iowa for the last flight of the annual National Balloon Classic. It's a week of hot air balloon events. They race, they aim for targets, they fly at dawn and dusk. Great fun, if you're into that sort of thing. Our kids didn't go with us (one is at camp, and the other is an eye rolling teenager...) but perhaps we can, in the near future drag them both back over to Indianola to visit the National Balloon Museum and U.S. Ballooning Hall of Fame. I'm sure they'd just love that.
