Different Liar - Different War - Same Lie

Presidential hopeful Mike Huckabee is telling the same lie that we've heard over and over and over again.  We've heard it before, but they keep repeating it.  Apparently they know we'll believe it.

Here it is again.

"America has to have the most formidable, fierce, military in the history of mankind. So when we have a threat, whether it is ISIS, Boko Haram, Al Qaeda, Hamas, Hezbollah, the Iranians, whatever it is, we make it very clear that we plan to push back and destroy that threat to us. And we won’t take 10 years doing it, we hopefully won’t even take 10 months, it will be like a 10 day exercise, because the fierceness of our forces would mean that we can absolutely guarantee the outcome of this film.”

Earlier this year it was Senator Tom Cotton saying that a war with Iran would only take "several days."  We'll go in, drop a few bombs, ba-da-boom, ba-da-bing, and the American boys (and girls) will be home by Christmas.

Liar.

That was the same lie that Donald Rumsfeld and the Bush 2.0 administration sold us back in 2002. Rumsfeld told us it would be over in "five days, five weeks or five months, but it certainly isn't going tolast any longer than that."

Liar.

The Kaiser told German troops that they would be "...home before the leaves have fallen from the trees."

Liar.

Every war. Every time. It's the same damn lie.
