“Though they fast, I will not hear their cry,
and though they offer burnt offering and grain offering, I will not accept
them. But I will consume them by War, by Famine, and by Pestilence.” Jeremiah 14:12
Whoever may be killed, before all these things, it is necessary to hold the true faith, kept whole and undefiled, for without a doubt they shall perish everlastingly. And the true faith is this:
That we hail one Death in Trinity and Trinity in white sands Unity – neither confounding the persons nor dividing their substance. For there is one person of War, another of Famine, and another of the Holy Pestilence, and this is the unholy Trinity. It is War that generates, Pestilence who is begotten, and Famine that follows after.
And by what names is Pestilence known among the earth? Plague, Ulcer, Buboes, Misfortune, Calamity, Yersinia Pestis, and Mycobacterium Tuberculosis.
He is Deber.
And how is Deber served? By beak-faced priests, pathogenic bacteria, and vector bearing arthropods. He rides upon the wind and upon infectious aerosol droplets; Deber hides in stagnant waters. In coitus, he is there. Mucus, feces, urine, and spores are his emissaries. Blood is his ambassador.
You may ring a ring o’ rosies, you may keep your pocket full of posies, but when Deber stalks upon the earth, we all fall down.
