A Grasshopper in the Park

Our family spent part of this Labor Day hiking around Rock Creek State Park, in Kellogg, IA.  It's a smallish park and our kids were a little surly because we made them 'do stuff' on their day home from school.

Still it was a pleasant bit of hiking.  And we saw this guy.  Not nearly as exotic as yesterday's entomological discovery, but nice, nonetheless.
